The Permanent Mission of St. Vincent and the Grenadines represents the the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the United Nations. We are the primary channel for communications between the Vincentian Government and the United Nations in New York City. Our diplomats represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the General Assembly, on the Economic and Social Council, and at the many specialized UN commissions, committees, and conferences. At these UN meetings, Vincentian diplomats explain our national positions on global issues and learn the views of other member states. By negotiating the resolutions and international treaties that guide state behaviour, they help to promote peaceful relations and a stable, prosperous world. Ambassador Gonsalves is the official spokesman for the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the United Nations. He is assisted by Deputy Permanent Representative Lennox Daniel, and Counsellor Nedra Miguel. The Permanent Mission has a staff of five full-time employees. |
